Established in August 2012, Ideal Small Arms operates from its workshop in Langwarrin, Victoria, where it commenced the manufacture of firearm magazines.

Ideal Small Arms has since developed into a specialist firearm parts production engineering business, with the capability to efficiently deliver production runs of 100 units or more.

Ideal Small Arms continually review and refine their designs and tooling to take advantage of the latest manufacturing technologies. Their ongoing research and development focuses on improving material durability, reducing component weight, and optimising performance under real-world operating conditions.

Quality and reliability are central to their process. All components are actively tested throughout production and assembly to ensure consistent performance and dependable operation.

Advancements in computer technology, programming, and prototyping have created unprecedented opportunities for the rapid design and production of new products. Plastics Manufacturing

Creating plastic tooling and components almost from "thin air" is one of the most rewarding aspects of modern manufacturing. With advanced design and production techniques, a single kilogram of plastic can be rapidly transformed into highly functional components - at scale.

At Ideal Small Arms, plastics manufacturing is a core capability. A significant portion of our business is now focused on the design and construction of plastic tooling, along with the volume production of our own proprietary, branded products. This approach allows us to maintain control over quality, consistency, and production efficiency, while supporting scalable manufacturing volumes.

Carbon fibre type plastics are incredibly strong and proving to be an effective alternative to traditional materials.  Mass production is more efficient and cost effective with modern materials.
